Primitives

I started another challenge over on simplymaya. This one's a lot shorter, just till Sunday night. The goal is to create a scene using just primitives (simple geometric shapes like cubes, spheres, cylinders etc). I just whipped up a couple screenshots to give other people ideas of what I was thinking about (I came up with the challenge).

We won silver in the speedskating, so I did this one:

And something abstract:

I'll do some more with proper lighting and shadows and everything. The point is to focus on composition, shape, form, contrast and value.

Sorry it's been a while. Working on photoshop tutorials right now.
