Whiplash!

Just uploaded my final animation to Vimeo.

Whiplash animation

Make sure to check it out in HD! Not that the extra pixels really add much, given the resolution of the geometry... but still. Hope you like it. Show it to your dog.

Later,
Stuart

  1. Awesome... the deformation really helped you get the feel of the movement of the balls. Very well done. BTW, how's Dune coming along? I'm always looking for people to talk to books about :P

  2. Thanks Mark! Yeah, I'm about 2/3 done Dune. It's a pretty good read. I like how it goes through all different subjects in that universe: ecology, philosophy, politics, technology etc.

  3. EPIC!!... looks great. Really looks like you've come a long way since you started this stuff. Looks super polished and pro like with the texturing and particle effects. This thing is screaming for some audio/sound fx to go with it though... BTW, can I borrow Dune when you're done with it? That is if it's yours.

  4. Thanks. Hopefully next time I'll get some sound effects. Or maybe I'll polish up the couple animations I've done with some sound. Sure you can borrow Dune. Might be another couple weeks though.

  6. AWESOME Stuart! I like how the little ball tries to get out of the big balls way when its launching itself across the gap. SO COO. Needs snowmen.

  7. Sweet! My favourite part is the small ball shuddering before getting launched.
    Keep it up
